This calculator is designed for calculating slab formwork and is a useful tool for engineers and builders working with monolithic slabs. With its help, you can accurately calculate the quantity and specifications of formwork elements to ensure the reliability and safety of the structure.
The main functions of the calculator include:
Calculating the required number of props, beams, and decking for the slab formwork.
Determining the strength and stability of props and beams based on the specified parameters.
Calculating the total area and number of formwork elements.
To use the calculator, follow these steps:
Specify the slab thickness and the height to its underside.
Enter the spacing between the main beams (spacing A), props (spacing B), and secondary beams (spacing C).
If you need to calculate the amount of formwork, enter the room dimensions and the layout of the main beams.
Set the parameters for the props, including material, grade, and cross-sectional dimensions.
Enter similar parameters for the main and secondary beams, as well as the decking.
Once all data is entered, click the "Calculate" button. The calculation results will be displayed according to strength and stability: blue for compliant structures and red for those that do not meet the design requirements.
The calculator also allows you to calculate the total amount of formwork for the monolithic slab, with the result displayed in a table under the "Calculate" button.
Important: The load calculation uses a concrete density of 2500 kg/m3 with safety factors accounted for. The obtained results should be used to cross-check your calculations.
