This calculator is designed to calculate wind loads on various types of structures, such as buildings, fences, and roofs. Using this online calculator helps determine the average wind load that acts on structures depending on their shape and location.
Main features of the calculator:
Calculation of wind load on a rectangular-shaped building.
Calculation of wind load on a gable roof.
Calculation of wind load on a fence or wall.
Calculation process:
Select the type of structure for which the wind load will be calculated (e.g., building, fence, roof).
For buildings and roofs, specify the wind direction. Walls or roof slopes are marked with the letters "A" and "B" for convenience.
Specify the dimensions of the structure (length, width, height).
Determine the wind zone in which the object is located.
Select the type of terrain, which also affects the load calculation.
Click the "Calculate" button to get the results for each section of the structure.
All results will be presented in a table format, where each wind load zone will be visually highlighted. This makes it easy to analyze the load on each part of the building or other structure.
Note:
The reliability factor for wind load is 1.4.
If the dimensions of the wind-affected areas exceed the structure's size, the load on such areas is considered to be distributed across the entire building or structure.
A positive load means the wind is acting on the structure, while a negative load means the load is directed away from it.
This wind load calculator is useful for both professionals and hobbyists in the construction field, offering a simple and effective way to calculate loads on various structures.
